What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

The servers we use for the website and our local network are protected.
Website and Cloud Services: Servers are protected by industry leading spam protection. We receive reports of the health of the system, and are immediately informed of any data breaches.
Local Network: Protected by firewalls at the router level. Virus and Spam protection through industry leading BitDefender Protection.
Backups: These are encrypted by the backup software to ensure that the data remains protected even when it is locked in a secure location. If someone has managed to physically access the backups this ensures that no data ca be read.
