Couple & Individual FAQ’s

Do we get our images?

Yes! You will get a high speed USB stick, of your edited photos. You also get an online gallery that you can share with family and friends. You get a special password so you can download the images in full high resolution to print as you see fit. The web images are guaranteed to stay up on the web for 12 months, but may be even longer.

Where will we do the session?

I will discuss a suitable location where you feel comfortable. You may have a special location such as a park, beach, building or your home. If you don’t have anywhere special, I can suggest locations depending on your interests such as the beach, river setting, hills or urban location. The main thing is that you are comfortable with the setting and that it is reasonably quiet, so that other individuals are not in the shot.

Can you travel for my shoot?

Yes. I generally shoot in the Adelaide region but I can go further afield. There may be a travel fee for the extra time it takes, to get to the location.

What kind of camera equipment do you use?

I use professional cameras and lenses. They are not consumer or amateur level.
My camera and lenses are weatherproof and are solid in construction. I use 2 cameras, that I carry all the time. In my equipment bag I carry 2 Pro Cameras, 2 Flashes, 2 Pro Zooms, Macro Lens, Standard 40mm Lens f1.2 (very fast lens), Medium Telephoto 150mm f1.8 (very fast lens), tripod.

If shooting indoors I also carry light stands, diffusers, backdrop support rig and two to three backdrops.

How long before we get to see our photos?

I aim to within two to three weeks of your session. The honest truth there are periods high demand, when this may not be possible, but I will keep you informed. I will always get a few priceless images up on the web gallery in the time frame.

What should we wear?

This is probably the greatest concern of people having photos taken. It is best answered by “whatever you want”. The clothes reflect the images that you are after. If you want to get dressed up, by all means do that; if you want to wear casual clothes, do it. Dress how you feel comfortable, and the mood the you wish to convey. In other words, be yourself.

For example;

  • you are a couple that love working out and most of the time you are out running, at the gym etc – wear sports clothes, I’ll take shots of you running together through a forest, on a beach etc.
  • you are an individual that loves working out and running.  As above I’ll take shots of you running, doing some sport related activity and resting after a hard workout.
  • you are a couple that are into the coffee shop scene. Dress as you would at the local coffee shop. I’ll take photos of you interacting with each other over a coffee.
  • you are a couple that loves nature and picnics. Dress as you would normally and I’ll take photos of you enjoying a lovely picnic (remember to bring a picnic lunch – don’t forget to add an extra serve for me :))
  • you are an individual or couple that prefers to have a portrait session away from the public, I’ll take the shots at you home.  You can then have a change of clothes if you are not certain what outfit is the best.

Can we bring our pet?

A big YES! I have always had a dog I my life until recently when my beloved little Chihauhau “Indy” passed away at 18years old. It’s left a big gap in my life.  I know how pets play such an important part in people’s lives, and they may even make you more relaxed in front of the camera,
Just let me know in advance so that we can plan a suitable location together.
Snake as a pet? Mmmmm, you will need to make me feel comfortable.
